Jacob & Co. Caviar Emerald Tourbillon

$2.4 million

Jacob & Co’s Caviar Emerald Tourbillon timepiece took almost two years to produce due to the difficulty in finding the right stones of the exact size and shade of green. Christophe Claret’s Margot timepiece presents a very feminine and complicated timepiece  that features a unique movement developed in-house.  The watch is based around the children’s game “He loves me, he loves me not”, where the petals are removed one by one to see if a girl’s true love is real. The French version of the rhyme is a little longer than the English version as it goes “He loves me a little, he love me a lot, he loves me passionately, he loves like like crazy, he loves me not.” Every time you play by pressing the pusher at two o’clock, a petal, or a pair of petals, fall away under the dial, while the answer to the question appears at random in two apertures at the bottom of the dial. Once all the petals are gone, a push on the pusher at four o’clock and the flower springs back to life.

Van Cleef & Arpels’s Planétarium comes in 18-karat white gold with an aventurine dial and celestial bodies made of a pink gold sun, a white gold shooting star, pink mother-of-pearl Mercury, green enamel Venus, turquoise Earth and diamond Moon.
