10 – CHRISTOPHE CLARET MARGOT – $299’400
Christophe Claret’s Margot timepiece presents a very feminine and complicated timepiece that features a unique movement developed in-house. The watch is based around the game “He loves me, he loves me not”, where the petals are removed one by one to see if a girl’s true love is real. The French version of the rhyme is a little longer than the English version as it goes “He loves me a little, he loves me a lot, he loves me passionately, he loves me like crazy, he loves me not.” Every time you play by pressing the pusher at two o’clock, a petal, or a pair of petals, fall away under the dial, while the answer to the question appears at random in the two openings at the bottom of the dial. Once all the petals are gone, a push on the pusher at four o’clock and the flower springs back to life. The Christophe Claret Margot is limited to 20 pieces.
