After the success of our 10 watches for superheroes article we have decided to take a look at what would look good on supervillains, matching some of the boldest timepieces to the colors and characters of your favorite bad guys.
The Joker is Batman’s nemesis and probably the best known of all the supervillains. Instantly recognizable with his white face and freakish smile that he inflicts on his victims, he is a psychopathic, sadistic, manipulative criminal mastermind. He doesn’t have any superpowers, but causes chaos and anarchy through his expertise in chemical engineering to develop lethal concoctions and weapons.
The Joker’s watch: The RJ Arraw The Joker
The latest release in the RJ X Batman Villains series is the Arraw The Joker Limited Editions. Limited to only 100 pieces each, these chronographs perfectly match the aesthetic of the supervillains with their design cues, from The Joker’s scary facial make-up to his lethal razor-tipped playing cards with the “Aces” doubling as the tips of the hands. Even the screws in the lugs have Batman logos! The timepieces feature RJ’s iconic rubber bumpers and shaped lugs and come in a 45mm titanium case that is laser-engraved with The Joker motif. Each timepiece comes together with three interchangeable straps in green alligator, purple alligator and black rubber. The timepieces are powered by the RJ2042 automatic chronograph movement with a 42-hour power reserve.
Catwoman made her début as “The Cat” in Batman (1940). Also known as Selina Kyle, she is a professional thief and has a love-hate relationship with Batman. She tends to vacillate between hero and villain, sometimes being portrayed as an anti-heroine, doing the wrong things for the right reasons. She is recognizable thanks to her skintight, black bodysuit, paired with a cat mask and bullwhip.

Maleficent is the most powerful fairy and ruthless Guardian of the Moors. Best-known for her role in the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, she casts a spell on the baby princess Aurora on the day of her christening. The spell states that on Aurora’s 16th birthday she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into an eternal slumber.
Maleficent’s watch: The Piaget Limelight
Maleficent was not always evil. It was only when she suffered a terrible betrayal that her heart turned to stone. As Guardian of the Moors, we thought a watch that depicts the foliage from her lands could be an appropriate accessory to her witch’s outfit. The Piaget Limelight comes in a 18-karat white gold case with leaves around the bezel that are set with 44 marquise-cut diamonds (approx. 6.60 ct). The watch is available on a black satin strap or with an 18-karat white gold palace decoration bracelet, and is powered by the Piaget 56P quartz movement.

Green Goblin, aka Norman Osborn, is one of Marvel’s super evil characters that first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 in 1964. Head of the chemical company Oscorp, Osborn was exposed to an experimental formula, which enhanced his physical abilities and intelligence, but also made him go insane. His main opponent is Spider-Man, but he often comes into contact with other superheroes from the Marvel Universe.
Green Goblin’s Watch: The Hublot Big Bang MP11
The Hublot Big Bang MP11 is an impressive timepiece as its green transparent case is the result of new research into different materials. The brand already mastered sapphire cases in black, yellow, blue, red, or clear, but it was impossible to create a high-quality green sapphire case. Thanks to a new material – SAXEM – the Big Bang MP11 is now available in emerald green. SAXEM combines both resistance and brilliance, much like a diamond. Not only has the creation of this Big Bang MP11 required a new scientific formula, which reminds us of the work of Green Goblin’s company Oscorp, it also matches his skin coloring, for the perfect accessory to keep him on time for his agenda of evil!
