The founder of the brand, Lucien Vouillamoz, had been thinking about incorporating liquid into a watch for a number of years until his daughter told him to “Do it, or stop talking about it”. It was the push he needed!

The ancient Egyptians used the flow of water to indicate the time in a device called a clepsydra, which is the oldest known timekeeping instrument.

HYT employs a team of chemical engineers who work on the liquid side of the watch. Every new color of liquid requires new research and development.
