Glashütte Original presents three new models for its Senator Excellence Panorama Date collection in blue, silvery-gray and white. The colors are the result of an elaborate galvanization process that takes place in Glashütte Original’s own dial factory in Pforzheim. The galvanic blue version features a sunray decoration, the silvery-gray version is finished with a brushed pattern and the white version is crafted using white lacquer, resulting in an elegant matte surface.
The size of the stainless-steel case is also slightly larger now with a diameter of 42mm, and other striking design details include white gold indexes and sword-shaped hour and minute hands.
Although there have been changes on the outside, the inside remains the same with the brand’s award-winning, in-house Caliber 36 powering the collection. The Caliber 36 is greatly appreciated for its ease of use as the date can be easily set via the crown.
All of Glashütte Original’s Senator timepieces feature a special engraving of a “Q” on the caseback with a reference number. These markings are a promise to the owner that each timepiece has been tested for over 24 days for stability, running time, precision and aesthetics and in conditions that are even more rigorous than those used by the German chronometer certification testing process.
Altogether, this new collection offers elegant and striking timepieces for today’s modern gentlemen and represents everything we love about great German design.
