The New DOXA SUB 600T Collection in Stainless Steel
On the heels of the SUB 600T Pacific Limited Edition launched this summer, DOXA now introduces a non-limited edition SUB 600T in stainless steel in the brand’s six symbolic colors with a choice of two bezel options.
Earlier this year, Doxa released a 200 piece limited edition Titanium model of its Aubry-era Doxa SUB 600T collection, which sold out in less than three days. As a follow-up to the massive success of the Doxa SUB 600T Pacific, the brand pays homage to the iconic SUB 600T collection by releasing a non-limited edition stainless steel model in six emblematic colors.
The Original Doxa SUB 600T collection was launched in the 1980s when the company was in the hands of Aubry Frères (DOXA is today owned by the Jenny family). The SUB 600T achieved considerable popularity amongst divers and watch enthusiasts worldwide with its robust design, vibrant colors, and technological innovations.
The DOXA SUB 600T Collection
Looking closer at this stainless steel model, the brand-new Doxa SUB 600T boasts a seriously chunky case with straight lines retaining the right angles and functional aesthetics associated with their dive watches from the 1980s. With an offset crown at 4 o’clock and the DOXA patented unidirectional rotating bezel, this dive watch allows the wearer to calculate dive time without decompression stops.
The SUB 600T collection is available in six distinctive colors in two bezel options- steel inserts or ceramic inserts. Like the sturdy case of this timepiece, its color palette is also inspired by the iconic Doxa divers from the 1980s, recognizable for their bright orange color.
These new watches are available in six different colors: orange, silver, black, navy, yellow, and turquoise, or as Doxa likes to call them:
- Professional (orange)
- Searambler (silver)
- Sharkhunter (black)
- Caribbean (navy)
- Divingstar (yellow)
- Aquamarine (turquoise)
Beneath the sapphire crystal, the dial’s dive-related indicators are coated with luminescent Super-LumiNova for readability in low light conditions. A date window at 3 o’clock and shark-tooth markers at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock complete the dial. In keeping with the color scheme, the hands of the orange, yellow, silver, and turquoise watches are outlined in black, whereas the hands of the black and navy watches are outlined in orange and white.
The case of this dive watch is in stainless steel 316L topped with a sapphire crystal, which protects the timepiece from pressure up to 60 bar (600 meters). So there is plenty of room for the most ambitious divers to explore!
The Doxa SUB 600T collection comes with a tone-on-tone rubber strap that matches the dial color or a stainless steel bracelet with a modern vintage appearance. In addition, the FKM rubber strap sports a unique clasp: it looks like a pin buckle, but it is, in reality, a folding buckle that can be adjusted quickly, conveniently, and comfortably to fit the wrist of the wearer. The exclusive ‘Doxa Fish’ logo is also present on the steel case back and the buckle.
The Doxa SUB 600T is powered by the Sellita SW 200-1. When fully wound, this tried-and-true caliber stores 38 hours of power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour or 4Hz.
