The New Arsenale by Venezianico is inspired by the historical significance and innovative spirit of Venice’s famous Arsenale Shipyard. As one of Europe’s oldest centers of creativity and industrial excellence, the Arsenale was pivotal in shaping modern maritime and industrial practices. Established in 1104, it was a groundbreaking example of industrial know-how, introducing advanced techniques that set the stage for mass naval production and a new era of industrial innovation.
The two founders of Venezianico, the Morelli brothers, designed the Arsenale as a tribute to the technical precision and timeless elegance of the Venetian Arsenale. A slim automatic Cal. Miyota 9029 automatic movement powers the watch, reliable and precise while maintaining a thickness of just 8.95mm. This design choice emphasizes the watch’s sleek and minimalistic look and ensures it is very comfortable on the wrist. The Arsenale’s design is all in the details, from the skeletonized dauphine hands to the polished steel hour markers.
Venezianico has ensured that the Arsenale is as functional as it is beautiful. The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters, which means it is perfect for everyday use. As a member of the Venezianico collection, it joins other notable models like the Bucintoro, Nereide, and Redentore. The engraved case back, featuring the iconic towers of the Arsenale, reinforces the watch’s connection to the historical Venetian site, serving as a constant reminder of the city’s industrial heritage.
The Arsenale effortlessly merges contemporary design with a classic look. Its 40mm case, made from durable 316L steel, stands out for its polished and satin finishes, creating an elegant contrast. One of the standout features is the Canova Concept™ bracelet, an evolution of Venezianico’s signature design. The bracelet’s links, characterized by concave and convex shapes, have been reimagined to be flatter and more modern, with two polished bevels, delivering both style and comfort for daily wear.
Another defining characteristic of the Venezianico Arsenale is the polished steel bezel with its knurled texture. This design element draws inspiration from the two iconic towers that dominate the entrance to Venice’s Arsenale shipyard. The pattern replicated from the towers is not just a design detail but a symbolic tribute to the building’s historical significance in the world of technology and innovation.
The Arsenale is available in three different dial variations: blue, anthracite, and violet. The dial features a vertical Côtes de Genève finish, achieved through a specialized brushing technique.
