Two New Frederique Constant Classics Tourbillon Manufacture in Steel
Frederique Constant celebrates their 35th anniversary with two new Classic Manufacture Tourbillons in a stainless steel case with a blue or silver-colored dial, both accessibly priced under 15k euros.
Frederique Constant introduces two new variations of its Manufacture Tourbillon to celebrate its 35th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of the brand’s first Manufacture tourbillon movement. The two new models come in a 39mm steel case with blue or silver dials and a limited edition of 350 each. The new designs offer a modern look that complements the classic style of the original rose gold version.
The Frederique Constant Classic Tourbillon Manufacture in stainless steel, offers a classic design with an attractive offering of watchmaking complications at an affordable price. The two new variations of the watch, presented in blue and silver, offer a contemporary aspect with a sun-brushed midnight blue dial and a sun-brushed silver-colored dial. The limited edition number is marked on the tourbillon cage and engraved on the case back, which enables collectors to admire the finishings on the FC-980 Manufacture movement.
The Classic Tourbillon Manufacture is a collector’s favorite, especially for classic Fine Watchmaking timepieces like tourbillons. The new diameter of 39mm on the new models is ideal for both men’s and women’s wrists. The minimalist and contemporary decoration on the dial and its slim hour markers is diamond cut and applied by hand. Frederique Constant has used the same technique for the hands, resulting in a hand-polished finish.
The tourbillon is an age-old complication that offsets the effects of gravity on the watch movement by keeping the escapement in constant motion to maintain an ideal running rate. The tourbillon adds more accuracy to the timepiece, and the accuracy of the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture is guaranteed for 38 hours. Frederique Constant has added a silicon escapement wheel and anchor to the tourbillon, making it more resistant to the negative effects of magnetism and temperature deviations, which makes it more precise than the original tourbillon.
The finishing touch for precision is a central seconds hand complete with a stop-seconds function that glides over the tourbillon. The complication is visible through an opening at 6 o’clock that offers a beautiful view of the sophisticated escapement, and an additional perspective on its inner workings is available from the reverse of the watch through a sapphire crystal.
Although Frederique Constant commemorates its history, it remains a youthful Manufacture, at only 35 years old, with immense potential. Alongside its primary collections, which strive to offer finely crafted yet reasonably priced watches, the company has progressively broadened its selection to encompass more exclusive timepieces designated for seasoned collectors. As it gazes towards the future, Frederique Constant endeavors to produce watchmaking that is even more sophisticated, boasting more intricate aesthetics and continually refined and enhanced finishes.
