Ulysse Nardin Unveils Two New Watches: The DIVER [NET OPS] and the DIVER [X SKELETON OPS]
Ulysse Nardin’s latest diver’s watches perfectly capture the brand’s adventurous spirit, cutting-edge innovation, and unwavering commitment to sustainability.
In the world of fine watchmaking, Ulysse Nardin is known as a visionary brand driven by innovation, adventure, and a commitment to sustainability. With a legacy rooted in the 19th century, when its marine chronometers were the gold standard for navigational tools, Ulysse Nardin continues pushing boundaries in technology and environmental responsibility. This year, the brand introduces two new additions to its diver collection: the Diver [NET OPS] and the Diver [X Skeleton OPS].
Ulysse Nardin Diver [NET OPS]
The Diver [NET OPS] is a high-performance timepiece celebrated as the most sustainable sports watch on the market, thanks to its innovative use of materials and advanced technology. The case of the Diver [NET OPS] is made from 95% recycled stainless steel. Its side parts and case-back combine Nylo® (60%) and Carbonium® (40%). Nylo® is a polyamide derived from upcycled fishing nets, while Carbonium® is a high-tech material crafted from aircraft manufacturing offcuts, reducing its environmental impact by 40% compared to other carbon composites.
The sandblasted khaki green dial is embossed with a satin-finished X . It includes a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and a small seconds display at 6 o’clock while super-Luminova® markings in beige provide a green glow in low light. The Diver [NET OPS] is powered by the automatic manufacture calibre UN-118, offering a 60-hour power reserve. It features a silicon balance spring, a pioneering material introduced by Ulysse Nardin in 2001, and an escapement coated in DiamonSil, a diamond-coated silicon that ensures precision and durability. The watch comes with either a fabric strap made partly from upcycled fishing nets or a khaki green rubber strap.
Ulysse Nardin Diver [X Skeleton OPS]
For those who appreciate the fusion of Haute Horlogerie and the design of a diving watch, the Diver [X Skeleton OPS] is a bold and innovative choice. This 44 mm watch is water-resistant to 200 meters and features the skeletonized automatic movement UN-372. It highlights an oversized oscillator and a silicon escapement, showcasing Ulysse Nardin’s commitment to cutting-edge technology.
The Diver [X Skeleton OPS] uses Carbonium® for the concave unidirectional rotating bezel and the barrel cover at 12 o’clock. The case is constructed from lightweight titanium with a black DLC coating, adding to its ultra-modern appeal. The dial is dominated by a massive skeleton X structure, enhancing its futuristic design. The sustainable approach is further emphasized by the khaki green fabric strap, partly made from upcycled fishing nets.
Commitment to Adventure, Technology & Sustainability
