The original Streamliner Flyback Chronograph was launched virtually in January 2020, just before the pandemic, and was a tremendous success. Its unique cushion-shaped case and integrated bracelet with intricate details and finishes were highly praised. The automatic movement, developed by Agenhor through H. Moser & Cie.’s mother company, MELB Luxe, was unparalleled. The Streamliner not only became a popular product but also propelled H. Moser & Cie.’s brand development. Initially limited to 100 pieces, the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic quickly sold out. Subsequently, the brand released a three-hand model and another chronograph with a Funky Blue fumé dial. In the following years, H. Moser & Cie. expanded the collection with a perpetual calendar and a flying tourbillon with double hairspring.
Today, H. Moser & Cie. is introducing an updated version of its Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic, version 2.0. This update includes the addition of a transparent lacquer logo on the Funky Blue dial, a distinctive feature previously seen on the Pioneer MEGA Cool model. Additionally, the movement showcases more contemporary finishes, with anthracite grey rhodium plating on the bridges and main plate, similar to the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar caliber.
The Streamliner collection embodies fluidity, featuring geometric lines and dynamic forms inspired by high-speed trains from the 1920s and 1930s. It blends minimalist design with contemporary elegance, a characteristic of H. Moser & Cie. The integrated steel bracelet served as a source of inspiration, creating a connection between the past, present, and future. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., highlights the Streamliner’s role in bridging the brand’s history with a promising future.
The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 is an evolution of the initial chronographs. It retains exceptional qualities while updating some aspects of the brand’s DNA, such as the transparent lacquer logo on the Funky Blue fumé dial. The brand intentionally takes a back seat to its creations, emphasizing minimalism, refined elegance, and understatement. The model’s aesthetic features and functions remain unchanged, including its 12 ATM (120 meters) water resistance and the ability to use the chronograph on land and underwater. The case design maintains harmonious proportions and aerodynamics, seamlessly integrated with the steel bracelet.
Under the sapphire case-back, the automatic chronograph reveals one of the finest chronograph calibers ever created. Developed by AGENHOR, a partner of H. Moser & Cie., the caliber HMC 907 focuses on minimalism and legibility. The movement showcases contemporary finishes, such as Moser stripes angled at 45° and anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate. The oscillating weight is positioned between the movement and the dial, allowing for the admiration of the chronograph’s operation and column wheel.
The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 represents H. Moser & Cie.’s unique interpretation of Haute Horlogerie, blending timeless elegance with contemporary design and exceptional craftsmanship.
