A. Lange & Söhne unveils the ninth special edition in its 25th Anniversary series.
This limited edition of 25 pieces has been produced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Lange 1. It is the ninth out of a total series of ten special models. Like the other anniversary editions, it comes in a white gold case with an argenté-colored solid silver dial with printed blue elements and blued steel hands.
A hand-engraved lunar disc
The Lange 1 Moon Phase “25th Anniversary” edition also differs from the standard version in that it features a hand-engraved lunar disc in white gold.
This model can be distinguished by its off-center dial with an outsized date and UP/DOWN power reserve indicator. The moon phase is so precise, it only needs to be corrected by one day every 122.6 years.
A manufacture caliber
The timepiece is powered by the manufacture caliber L121.2 with a three-day power reserve.

A. Lange & Söhne
A. Lange & Söhne was founded by Ferdinand Adolf Lange in Dresden, Saxony in 1845 and over the next 100 years they created some of the most sought-after pocket watches, until 1948 when the post-war Soviet administration nationalized the company’s property and the watch brand ceased to exist. In 1990, after the reunification of East and West Germany, Ferdinand Adolf Lange’s great-grandson Walter, along with watch executives Günter Blümlein, and Hartmut Knothe, revived the brand to its former glory and in the year 2000, it became part of the Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A.
