Armin Strom presents their very first models for women.
Lady Beat by Armin Strom
Armin Strom prides itself on continuous innovation. The new Lady Beat demonstrates this with a bold redesign of the brand’s movement, dial, and case, targeting women for the first time. The Lady Beat is part of the recently launched System 78 Collection to bring us innovative watchmaking at a reasonable price point. This latest addition adds a feminine side to a genuine manufacture movement watch in keeping with the technical look that we are used to seeing from Armin Strom.
The two partners of Armin Strom, Serge Michel, and Claude Greisler decided to collaborate with two women specialized in designing watches for women. They wanted a watch for women by women to answer the increasing demand they have had for a watch for the opposite sex. “Good design is honest and functional,” Greisler says of the Manufacture’s latest creation. “It does not need makeup to be attractive.” From the very start of this project, the Lady Beat was conceived to be a technical ladies’ watch and not just a man’s watch in a smaller size. Nor did they want to resort to diamonds or mother-of-pearl to make it look more feminine.
The Lady Beat features an off-center dial and a stainless steel case with a 38mm diameter, another for Armin Strom. The triple bridges are visible on the front of the watch, a nod to the pocket watch that inspired the ALA20 Caliber. Instead of the standard classic lugs of an Armin Strom watch, the Lady Beat sports an integrated rubber and Alcantara strap in a choice of satin white or black. The Manufacture makes all of its movements in-house, and the Armin Strom Lady Beat is equipped with a self-winding movement, making it perfect for everyday wear. On the case back, the full-sized central rotor guarantees more winding power and a 70-hour power reserve.
The Lady Beat is presented in two color versions today but can be customized in color and other elements in the Armin Strom online configurator.
