As we usher in the Wooden Dragon year on February 10, 2024, Arnold & Son introduces the Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold timepiece, a limited edition marvel in just eight pieces each that encapsulates the essence of fine watchmaking, sculpture, and miniature painting. This magnificent creation, which debuts on February 10, 2024, features a rose gold dragon gracefully set against a mother-of-pearl moon, symbolizing the Wooden Dragon’s attributes of calm determination, introspection, and generosity—a fitting homage to the Chinese Zodiac sign for the year 2024.

The Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Dragon” introduces a new limited “Chinese Zodiac” series, where each of the two versions showcases a large moon casting its glow over a garden at night, accompanied by a gracefully sculpted rose gold dragon. The dial’s aventurine glass, sparkling with metallic inclusions, creates the illusion of a starry sky, complemented by stone pines that mirror the dragon’s sinuous form.

Craftsmanship is at the forefront, with a dragon sculpture boasting exquisite details, from its commanding claws to the whiskers fluttering as if in the wind. The mother-of-pearl moon, accented with Super-LumiNova, sits in an aventurine glass sky, amidst hand-painted constellations of the Great Bear and Cassiopeia, chosen for their historical significance in navigation and timekeeping.

The mechanical prowess of Arnold & Son shines in the A&S1512 calibre, designed and built in-house, which powers the moonphase display with remarkable accuracy—it would only be off by a day after 122 years. A double barrel setup ensures a 90-hour power reserve, a testament to the brand’s commitment to precision and durability.
