Limited edition of 1000 pieces
39 micro gas tubes for night visibility.
The BALL Watch Engineer III Endurance 1917 GMT features BALL’s new Manufacture GMT Caliber RRM7337-C, a GMT chronometer co-developed with Soprod, housed in a durable 904L stainless steel case. The series stands out for its micro gas tube luminosity, providing extreme readability and reliability in dark conditions. These self-powered H₃ micro gas tubes are present on the dial, hands, and 24-hour inner bezel, with a special variant featuring rainbow-colored tubes available for the GMT model.
The GMT functionality offers true GMT status with quick-set functionality that allows the local 12-hour hand to be adjusted using the crown, while the date wheel remains synchronized. The movement is protected by 1,000 Gauss anti-magnetic technology. The 904L stainless steel case offers superior resistance to corrosion, rust, and acids, with a diameter of 41mm and a thickness of 13.15mm, making it suitable for both everyday wear and extreme conditions.
The series is inspired by Shackleton’s 1914 Antarctic expedition, where his crew endured extreme conditions, including their ship, the Endurance, being trapped and eventually crushed by ice. Despite being isolated for over two years, the crew survived under Shackleton’s extraordinary leadership. This series pays homage to Shackleton’s courage and the spirit of exploration, embodying both historical significance and advanced watchmaking technology, as BALL Watch Company continues its legacy of exploration and innovation in timekeeping.
