When watch collector Pascal Raffy decided to buy the Bovet 1822 watch brand in 2001, he could not have imagined how far he would take the company. Originally founded in 1822, Bovet was known for high complications and horological masterpieces. Under Raffy’s direction, the innovation and creativity flourished. Today, Bovet creates some of the most complex watches on the market, some with three-dimensional architecture not just for the movement but also for the case. He created the ingenious sloped writing desk case for many of its complications and, for the Amadeo line, a convertible watch that goes from wristwatch to pocket watch to table clock.
