Dietrich presents its new Dietrich Device 1, DD-1 for short, a watch that is a new interpretation of the brand’s “Organic Time” launched in 2014 and will complement its “Time Companion”(TC) launched in 2017.
A question of design
The new Dietrich DD-1 involved several years of research and development and presents a brand-new, three-dimensional, watch design. The dial also features white SuperLuminova® on both the hands and indexes.
A one-piece strap
The strap on the new Dietrich DD-1 is produced from one unique piece of nylon, making it extremely easy to change. Each strap comes with a stainless steel buckle that is plated in black PVD.
Under the dial
The Dietrich DD-1’s Swiss Made movement is the ETA 2824-2 automatic caliber that has a 38-hour power reserve and indicates the hours, minutes, seconds and date.
The case comes in a 46mm X 45mm size and has a screwed-down crown that ensures a water resistance of 50 meters, along with a sapphire crystal case back that allows a view on the movement beneath.
Dietrich sees the watch as a living, beating ecosystem under a glass dome, where volume, texture and depth all come into play to create a miniature landscape. They use the space to the fullest, showcasing numerous intricate details and never stop pushing themselves to the limits.
