DOXA celebrates Clive Cussler, the renowned American adventure novelist, on what would be his 93rd birthday. Cussler, born on July 15, 1931, authored over 85 books, selling over 100 million copies worldwide. His protagonist, Dirk Pitt, often wore a DOXA SUB with an iconic orange dial.
In tribute, DOXA introduces the special edition SUB 300T Sharkhunter Clive Cussler. This stainless steel watch with an aged patina mirrors the first SUB 300T introduced last year. It features a black Sharkhunter dial with white hands and indexes and a compass rose symbolizing exploration.
The SUB 300T Sharkhunter Clive Cussler edition also has NUMA-discovered shipwrecks engraved on the case back, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and Super-LumiNova® for low-light visibility. It is powered by a Swiss automatic movement and offers a 38-hour power reserve and 300-meter water resistance. It includes a ‘beads of rice’ metal bracelet and a black FKM rubber strap, each with a folding clasp with a wetsuit extension. Individually numbered as one out of 93, a portion of the sales supports NUMA, the (National Underwater and Marine Agency founded by Cussler in 1979.
