This watch is no longer in the brand's current collection.
Frederique Constant’s Co-Founder Peter Stas has always had a love for sailing and this Yacht Timer Regatta Countdown is a tribute to his passion for both sailing and horology.
There are four models, two in a rose gold color with a choice of a navy blue or silver-plated dial, one in steel and rose gold case with matching bracelet, and the last in steel with a silvery-white dial.
The Frederique Constant Yacht Timer Regatta Countdown features a built-in timer that counts down the critical 10 minutes before the start of a race. The hands and indexes are enhanced with luminescent material for overcast days.
The brand introduced its first Yacht Timer Regatta in 1997 and this new version, some twenty years later, keeps the same five dots at the top of the dial. Each dot represents a minute. Five minutes have passed when all the dots change from white to colored. Then another five minutes pass as they change to orange. When all five dots are orange and the second-hand reaches the 12 o’clock position, it is time to go.
There is a choice of alligator straps or rubber straps, or a two-tone bracelet in stainless steel and rose gold-plating.
Delivered with an extra rubber strap.
