Limited edition of 6 pieces
The Hermès ARCEAU Chorus Stellarum watch is a blend of traditional craftsmanship and whimsical design, centered around an equestrian theme. Despite its classic appearance, it incorporates playful elements, such as mobile appliques, engraving, and miniature painting, bringing the watch to life in a mischievous universe.
Inspired by the Chorus Stellarum silk scarf by Daiske Nomura, the watch features two exclusive interpretations, each showcasing a decorative world that ranges from fantasy to futuristic. The characters depicted on the watch, such as skeleton riders on noble steeds, are in mobile yellow gold appliques that move in response to a pusher at 9 o’clock, creating a smooth animation. This animation takes place against a backdrop of a gilded constellation, crafted using the champlevé technique, with colorful lacquer-coated motifs representing a celestial painting.
The ARCEAU Chorus Stellarum’s craftsmanship reinterprets the theme of celebrating the passing of time, conceptualized by the Japanese illustrator, who incorporates various Hermès emblems into contemporary cartoon, manga, and gaming culture. The watch features a slender white gold case set with diamonds or without. Both versions are powered by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 movement, visible through a sapphire crystal case-back. It comes with a matt abyss blue or pearl grey alligator strap and is issued in numbered limited series of six for each version.
