HYT – How it works

HYT has always done things differently indicating the time with its liquid time indication system. The basic concept is that the glass tube that circles the dial is filled with two liquids, one clear and the other brightly colored. The two liquids are kept apart by the repulsion forces in each of them. Using watchmaking to activate the piston system, the colored liquid will gradually advance to indicate the correct hour.

HYT H0

The first HYT H0 was launched in 2017. This newest member of the H0 collection was presented in April 2020. An all-black version that shouts out design purity.

The sapphire crystal curves around where you normally find a bezel to join the case all the way at the bottom, giving you an incredible view of the dial and the liquid time indication from every angle. The H0 uses the power of monochrome to avoid any distractions from the view of the time display – the dial, the markers, and the numerals are all black, the case is in black DLC stainless steel and the liquid indicating the hours is black. Only a very discreet trace of orange superluminova is visible on the minute hand, seconds hand, the logo, the numerals and under the glass capillairies. The power reserve indicator opposite the seconds counter is a disc that passes from orange to black, orange being that the watch is fully powered and ready to run.

The H0 is powered by a manually-wound caliber with 35 jewels and a 65-hour power reserve.
