IWC’s Portofino for ladies, just as elegant as usual but in a smaller size.

The five Versions

There are 5 models in total in this collection in a choice of red gold or stainless steel with dials in green, blue or silver. They all feature diamonds, either on the case or the dial or both. There are 12 different strap options (all handcrafted by the leather workshop Santoni) and each watch comes with a handy tool so its owner can easily switch strap. There is also the option for a Milanese stainless steel mesh bracelet.

The Case SIze

The five new models come in a 34mm case, which is a similar size to the very first models that were made in the 1980s.

Portofino the place

The Portofino collection is named after the small Italian fishing village on the Italian Riviera where the jet-set love to moor their superyachts and come ashore.

The Ambassadors

The new advertising campaign for these new models features model Josephine Skriver and actress Ning Chang in Portofino.

The Brand

IWC

The International Watch Co. was founded by an American watchmaker called Florentine Ariosto Jones in Schaffhausen in 1868. Jones’s idea was to combine the latest American production technology with Swiss watchmaking expertise to make timepieces for the American market. Using hydro power from the River Rhine, his project was a huge success. Key pieces in the collection include the Portugieser, the Ingenieur, the Portofino and the Da Vinci. IWC is owned by the Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A since 2000.
