The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One Precious Flowers – Hibiscus Diamonds combines the skills of enameling, paillonnage, and diamond-setting to brilliantly depict the exotic hibiscus flower. This piece underwent 12 color research trials to perfect the shades and subtle transitions, with the blue hibiscus flowers made using Grand Feu champlevé enamel, demanding 30 hours of work. The flower’s stamens are accentuated with 24-carat gold leaf underneath the enamel. Similar to the Birds of Paradise watch, a backdrop of snow-set diamonds beautifully contrasts the vividly colored flowers and leaves. Additionally, the gadroons and lugs are set with diamonds, tallying approximately 523 diamonds totaling 2.02 carats, representing 20 hours of work. In total, the Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’ Hibiscus Diamonds takes 150 hours of Métiers Rares craftsmanship.
