Verso side: Grand feu champlevé enamel.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One Precious Flowers – Hibiscus Enamel celebrates the iconic tropical hibiscus, a symbol of beauty and wisdom, rendered in tones evocative of a sun-drenched lagoon.
This model marks the first application of Grand Feu enamel across the complete background of a Métiers Rares Reverso One, extending over the convex case sides to enclose the dial. The finely etched flowers and leaves are in Grand Feu champlevé enamel, with their intricate designs needing the use of 12 enamel colors in nine layers. Employing the precise technique of paillonnage, the golden stamens are accentuated with minuscule fragments of 24-carat gold leaf underneath the enamel.
The vivid blue and green enamel shades are intensified by diamonds set in the gadroons and lugs, summing up to about 157 diamonds totaling 1.25 carats. The total craftsmanship involves 50 hours of enameling and 22 hours of gem-setting, culminating in 72 hours of metiers d’art work. A bespoke shiny blue alligator leather strap has been specially tinted to match the floral tones perfectly.
