Jaeger-LeCoultre expands its Reverso Tribute collection with the Geographic, a travel-ready timepiece that blends technical ingenuity and discreet luxury. Housing the new in-house Calibre 834, the Reverso Tribute Geographic integrates a world time function and a Grande Date within the slim confines of its rectangular case. Available in steel or limited to 150 pieces in 18k pink gold, the watch stays true to the Reverso’s origins, which date back to 1931 when the swivelling case was created to protect the dial during polo matches.
The highlight of the new Reverso Tribute Geographic lies on its reverse side, where a rotating 24-hour ring surrounds a hand-lacquered world map crafted through a combination of laser engraving and traditional lacquering techniques. The city names remain fixed for optimal readability while the hour disc moves in sharp, tactile jumps, a deliberate inversion from traditional world timers. This thoughtful reworking ensures intuitive setting via a hidden pusher between the lugs. Meanwhile, the front dial presents a sunray-finished backdrop in blue or chocolate tones, accented by a patented Grande Date display.
Casa Fagliano straps accompany each model, reinforcing the Reverso’s equestrian heritage with luxurious materials suited to modern sophistication. The newly developed Calibre 834 is fully integrated rather than modular, with the shaped movement precisely engineered to the rectangular case architecture. Its twin-disc date mechanism, patented in 2021, ensures perfect visual balance without sacrificing mechanical performance. The Reverso Tribute Geographic offers a refined interpretation of travel complications within one of watchmaking’s most enduring designs.
