Step back into the groovy 70s with the Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster Chronoking Mecaquartz Salmon, a watch that embodies the vibrant spirit of that era. Vintage chronographs are making a huge comeback, delighting collectors and fans alike.
For this reissue, Nivada Grenchen has introduced a new version of its iconic Chronomaster, drawing inspiration from the vintage Chronoking dial of the 70s. The original featured “Paul Newman”-style sub-dials with a Valjoux 72 movement, and a dial designed by the renowned Jean Singer. Singer, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, was known for creating some of the most iconic and collectible dials in watchmaking history, including the Speedmaster Racing, Heuer Skipper, and Universal’s Nina.
The new Nivada Chronoking is a bold nod to the 70s, featuring tan sub-dials with Art Deco-style “Newman” typography that illuminate the salmon dial. The minute track and white gradient add an unusual sense of depth, making this watch a true standout.
Assembled in Switzerland, the Nivada Chronoking is powered by the reliable Time Module TMI VK63A mecaquartz movement. This blend of quartz accuracy and mechanical charm provides three years of maintenance-free performance. The chronograph hand moves smoothly, mimicking the mechanics of traditional watches.
Embrace the timeless style and sophisticated craftsmanship of the 70s with the Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster.
