For over a decade, NOMOS Glashütte has supported Doctors Without Borders through limited-edition timepieces, raising funds for the organization’s vital humanitarian work. Now, the German watchmaker introduces two new limited-edition version of its timeless classic, the Ludwig neomatik.
As the new year begins, countless people worldwide continue to face the devastating impacts of crises, conflicts, and natural disasters. Wherever urgent medical aid is needed, Doctors Without Borders, a Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization, is there to help. Since 2012, NOMOS Glashütte has partnered with the organization, raising over €1.3 million through exclusive watch sales.
The Ludwig neomatik for Doctors Without Borders stands out with elegant design details that honor this partnership. A red “XII” on the enamel-white dial symbolizes the urgency of emergency aid, while the inscription “Ärzte ohne Grenzen” at 6 o’clock highlights the global mission of the organization. Available in two sizes—36.4 mm and 38.5 mm—each version is limited to just 250 pieces. Inside the Ludwig neomatik, the ultra-thin automatic caliber DUW 3001 with the NOMOS swing system ensures precision, housed in a stainless steel case engraved with its limited-edition status.
These special-edition Ludwig are more than a timepiece; it’s a statement of solidarity. Each purchase supports life-saving missions in over 70 countries, combining the art of German watchmaking with the power of humanitarian aid. Every watch sold contributes directly to raising €125,000 for the German office of Doctors Without Borders.
