The Raketa Malevich Triptych collection is the result of a unique partnership between the Raketa Watch Factory and the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, which houses Malevich’s famous geometric masterpieces—the Black Square, Black Circle, and Black Cross.
Raketa’s journey with Malevich’s Suprematism began in 2020 through a collaboration with Moscow’s Tretyakov Gallery. Although initially skeptical about the appeal of a watch inspired by Malevich’s abstract art, Raketa knew it would spark strong reactions. Against all odds, the design became a modern classic, embracing a bold, fresh design that resonates with contemporary tastes.
Building on this success, Raketa now revisits Malevich’s entire geometric cycle with the Malevich Triptych collection. These timepieces highlight shared values between the artist and the brand: minimalist black-and-white designs, the “Big Zero” philosophy, breaking conventional rules, and celebrating pure, timeless forms. Malevich saw the square, circle, and cross as universal symbols, which ties seamlessly to Raketa’s cosmic-inspired DNA.
The collection is limited to 500 pieces per model, available in three versions. Each watch dial is made from semi-precious stones like black, white, and tinted transparent agate, carefully selected to mirror Malevich’s iconic artworks. These minimalist designs invite endless interpretation, much like the artist’s creations.
Powered by expertly decorated, in-house mechanical movements made entirely at Raketa’s factory, the Malevich Triptych collection is a celebration of art, craftsmanship, and innovation.
