Ralph Lauren introduces a new model in The American Western Watch Collection, featuring a striking black cushion dial and drawing inspiration from his admiration for the American West. The watch reflects the essence of vintage rodeo and concho belts, elements that have influenced Lauren’s designs since his Santa Fe-inspired women’s runway show in the 1980s.
The American Western Watch comes in a 42mm by 10.6mm engraved cushion case in either silver or gold. Both are powered by a mechanical movement made exclusively for Ralph Lauren by Piaget, featuring 26 jewels and a 40-hour power reserve. The contemporary black dial introduces a modern twist to the vintage-inspired design, maintaining the iconic combination of Roman and Arabic numerals along with Breguet-style hands.
The vachetta leather straps are hand-tooled in Texas and burnished in Italy, while the metal components are hand-engraved and aged in New York City. Swiss-made movements guarantee that each watch is a unique representation of Ralph Lauren’s commitment to craftsmanship, with variations in engraving and patina making each piece distinct.
