At Watches & Wonders 2025, Rolex introduces the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller in 40mm and 36mm sizes, signaling a significant evolution in its catalog. This new model stands at the crossroads of technical innovation and design precision, reflecting more than a century of horological expertise. Available in white Rolesor, 18 ct Everose gold, and 950 platinum, the Land-Dweller features a distinctive honeycomb dial motif, exclusive display elements, and a newly developed Oyster case paired with the Flat Jubilee bracelet. The integration of the bracelet and case reveals a cohesive design marked by beveled edges and alternating finishes that create visual continuity from lug to clasp.
At the heart of the Land-Dweller is calibre 7135, a high-frequency movement operating at 5 Hz and developed entirely by Rolex. This cutting-edge calibre includes the proprietary Dynapulse escapement and a state-of-the-art oscillator, both engineered to enhance energy efficiency and resistance to magnetic fields. Innovations such as a ceramic balance staff and optimized Syloxi hairspring enable the watch to maintain remarkable chronometric stability, while a 66-hour power reserve supports sustained performance. With 18 patents exclusive to the model, calibre 7135 represents a major step forward in Rolex movement architecture.
Certified as a Superlative Chronometer, the Land-Dweller upholds Rolex’s highest standards in accuracy, robustness, and reliability. Each model is tested in-house beyond COSC specifications, ensuring a precision rate of −2/+2 seconds per day. From the femtosecond-laser-etched dial to the patented ceramic bracelet inserts, the Land-Dweller embodies Rolex’s commitment to refining every element of watchmaking.
