TAG Heuer introduces a new version of its Carrera Chronograph Skipper watch, now in a luxurious 18K 5N rose gold case. This watch maintains its functionality for sailing while appealing to high-end collectors with its sophisticated design. It features a ‘glassbox’ design and is powered by the Heuer 02 movement adapted for regatta timing.
The gold Skipper retains the innovative ‘curved flange’ dial for excellent legibility, especially during regattas. Inspired by the historic Skipper Reference 7754 of 1968, it combines a sea-blue main dial with subdials in ‘Intrepid Teal’ and a regatta counter in three different colors.
The Carrera Chronograph Skipper,’s color scheme pays homage to the yacht ‘Intrepid’, reflecting elements of the boat’s design. It also includes triangular markers and a ‘Skipper’ nameplate, all in rose gold to match the case.
The watch’s transparent case back showcases the Heuer 02 Skipper calibre, a column wheel chronograph movement with an 80-hour power reserve. It comes with a blue textile strap and a pin buckle made of rose gold.
