A year after launching its Une Folle Journée collection, Trilobe enters the High Jewellery world with an innovative piece inspired by the Paris Opera House ceiling. Three rotating rings are adorned with 150 diamonds, challenging craftsmanship and design.
The rings on the Une Folle Journée Diamant Platinum were entirely reimagined to accommodate the diamonds. Due to the material and the slim profile of the rings, which provide limited space for the precious stones, the House collaborated with expert gem-setters from Rue de la Paix, RJC certified, to develop an innovative setting process. The 150 diamonds for the Hours, Minutes, and Seconds hands are set through an invisible opening and then glide along the ring, thanks to a unique system exclusively developed by Trilobe.
Trilobe enlisted a French miniaturist painter who hand-painted the 12 numerals on the dial, requiring unwavering precision to achieve equal proportions and finesse. The artist’s dedicated work adds singularity to this exceptional piece, as the dazzling rings adorned with diamonds shine under the sapphire dome like a starry dance.
Behind this captivating display, a redesigned X Centric calibre takes shape with multitiered bridges and plates, meticulously polished by hand or with diamond tools to accentuate the sandblasted surfaces.
