The Oil Immersion

Following the idea explored first time with Capsoil model, the U-BOAT designers introduce the Darkmoon collection and further develop the “oil immersion” innovative concept at an extremely interesting price point.

In the new line, an oil bath completely immerses the movement of the timepiece, a Ronda Swiss quartz movement. The oily liquid fully surrounds the dial turning it to an absolute black, giving it a three-dimensional look while also explaining where they came up with the collection name – Darkmoon. The liquid fills the dial completely, with the exception of one single air bubble, that is purposely left on every model. This bubble allows the liquid to move, and flow giving another unique look, where the dial is ever moving and changing.

The collection consists of five watches all in size 44mm and a black dial. Three versions feature the numbers and indexes in beige, with hands treated with beige superluminova and two versions use red instead of beige. Two models present with a polished stainless steel case, two with a black IPB steel case, and one version in IP bronze.  All are powered by Ronda 712.3 quartz movement and are water resistant to 50 meters.

All of the Darkmoon watches are fitted with a black ultra-resistant vulcanized rubber strap, with the brand logo in relief, with the exception of the model with the IP bronze case which features a hand-finished and laser engraved calf leather strap.
