Ulysse Nardin’s Diver X Antartica finds inspiration in the photographic work of artist Sebastien Copeland who uses his art to express his deep love our planet.
Photographer Sebastian Copeland is the latest explorer to become a member of Ulysse Nardin’s “Team of Ulysse” adventurers this month, joining other free-spirited men and women such as Fred Buyle, Alex Caizergues, Mathieu Crepel, Sebastien Destremau, Ben Thouard and Alessia Zecchini. In addition to his incredible photography, Sebastian is credited with leading the first East/West transcontinental crossing of Antarctica by skis and kites via two of its poles, setting three world records over 4100 kilometers that took 82 days. He is planning a new expedition to cross the Arctic Ocean in 2021.
The Diver X Antarctica, that is inspired by the continent he loves so much, is highly recognizable thanks to its dramatic gray dial that features the brand’s “X” across its dial.
Housed in a 44mm titanium case, the timepiece features an inverted concave unidirectional rotating bezel and is water-resistant to 300 meters. Turn the watch over and the case back reveals a stamp of the route of the Vendée Globe.
It is powered by the brand’s in-house, Caliber UN-118 that includes silicium and Diamonsil technology.
The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Antartica comes fitted with a white rubber strap and pin buckle.
