ZENITH is celebrating summer 2024 with the launch of the DEFY Skyline model in white ceramic, featuring a blue skeleton movement and dial. This modern iteration of the original 1969 ZENITH DEFY wristwatch combines historical elements with contemporary design, characterized by bold architectural lines and robust construction. The new DEFY Skyline Skeleton introduces a white ceramic exterior, a first for this collection, with alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Its scratch-resistant case and dodecagonal bezel are designed for all occasions and offer water resistance up to 10 ATM (100 meters).
The white ceramic exterior is complemented by an intense blue open dial and skeleton movement, which shift in color with light exposure. The dial features ZENITH’s iconic four-pointed star motif from 1969 and reveals the El Primero 3620 SK movement, finished in ZENITH’s signature blue. Unique to the DEFY Skyline is the constant 1/10th of a second running indicator, completing one rotation every 10 seconds, emphasizing the importance of each moment.
Designed for versatility, the DEFY Skyline Skeleton White Ceramic comes with an integrated white ceramic bracelet and a matching patterned rubber strap, both featuring a quick-change mechanism requiring no tools. The watch is powered by the El Primero 3620 SK automatic high-frequency skeleton calibre, offering a 1/10th of a second indicator driven by a 5Hz escapement, a 55-hour power reserve, and a stop-second mechanism for precise time-setting.
