CODE41 Watches

Started as an idea just eight years ago in 2016, the CODE41 brand was a crowd-funded concept that came to fruition thanks to a community of 57,000 members who invested. After reaching its numbers, the CODE41 team members began producing watches that revolved around different themes in life. Its watches are powered by movements such as Miyota 82S7 and are part of collections like Anomaly, X41, and Day41. All are affordably priced at under $5,500 and are predominantly sold online.

History of CODE41

CODE41 decided to do things differently from day one. The concept for their first mechanical timepiece debuted on the 30th of March 2016, with the introduction of the TTO label, which stands for Total Transparency on Origin. This means that CODE41 communicates precisely where each component of the watch is made, each component’s cost price, and each timepiece’s profit margin.

The first designs were unveiled online on the 11th of May 2016. Each member of the CODE41 community voted on the designs. On the 22nd of November, the first CODE41 prototypes, the Anomaly-01 with a Miyota 82S7 movement and the Anomaly-02 with an ETA 2824 movement, went live on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The campaign lasted 30 days and raised 543,150 CHF!
