GoS Watches was founded in 2007 by Swedish bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and watchmaker Patrik Sjögren, born from a shared love of traditional Nordic craftsmanship and the expressive beauty of Damascus steel. Rather than relying on suppliers, they forged their own patterned steel using time-honoured techniques, giving each watch a distinct, organic character. The brand quickly earned a reputation for blending Viking-era artistry with fine horology, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, folklore, and natural light of Scandinavia. Patrik, trained in both Swedish and Swiss watchmaking, oversees everything from movement finishing to final assembly—an unusually hands-on approach in modern watchmaking. In 2021, bladesmith Conny Persson took over Damascus production as Johan stepped back, ensuring the steelwork remained firmly rooted in Swedish tradition.
