Tourbillon Puzzle Fire Horse

Created to mark the Chinese New Year of 2026, the TOURBILLON PUZZLE FIRE HORSE celebrates the rare union of the Horse and the Fire element, a combination that appears only once every sixty years in the Chinese calendar. Traditionally associated with intensity, independence, and powerful momentum, this astrological sign provides the creative foundation for one of the most expressive artistic timepieces conceived by Louis Moinet. The watch translates this symbolism into a bold visual language that captures both movement and emotional force.

At the heart of the timepiece lies the maison’s signature puzzle dial, a true demonstration of métiers d’art technique. Composed of 81 individual elements arranged across four levels, the dial is entirely dismantled, hand-painted piece by piece, then meticulously reassembled. The Fire Horse emerges mid-motion, head raised and gaze focused, with a mane rendered as stylised flames. Warm, vibrant tones dominate the composition, reinforcing the sensation of speed, power, and contained energy that defines this sign.

Powering the watch is a hand-wound movement featuring an off-centre flying tourbillon, driven by two serial barrels arranged in a “volte-face” configuration to deliver a 96-hour power reserve. A fire opal positioned behind the tourbillon cage symbolises inner strength and transformation, echoing the fire element at the core of the design. The movement is housed in a 40mm 18-carat red gold case, crowned by a high-domed sapphire crystal that reveals the puzzle dial from every angle.
