Freedom GMT Enjoy Life "Holiday" Limited Edition

Family-owned Swiss watchmaker NORQAIN has given its Enjoy Life collection a second time zone for the first time with the Freedom GMT Enjoy Life “Holiday” Limited Edition, a run of 500 pieces following the sold-out “Ice Cream” edition and this year’s popular “Sprinkles” models. Hidden within the series is a single unique timepiece, a modern-day Golden Ticket whose owner wins a NORQAIN Escape for two at Ayada Maldives, six nights in an Ocean Villa on a full board basis. How the winner will make the discovery remains a secret until September.

The dial takes the form of a world map in orange, pink, and turquoise, shades that graduate softly into one another on the GMT ring, evoking the rising and setting of the summer sun. Twenty-five hand-drawn “Holiday Icons” appear across the dial, GMT, and date display, from the flip-flops, sunglasses. and beach umbrella that rotate through the date window to a GMT ring tracing a vacation day, crescent moon at midnight through morning coffee to a “Happy Hour” cocktail. A bespoke aluminum travel case with a passport holder, world map, and destination pins completes the presentation.

Beneath the holiday spirit sits a 40mm stainless steel Freedom GMT powered by the chronometer-certified NORQAIN Manufacture NN20/2 by Kenissi, an automatic with a 70-hour power reserve visible through a sapphire case back marked “ONE of 500.” A jump-hour setting function adjusts the GMT hand forwards or backwards through the crown, and the watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet or white rubber strap.
