Speake Marin starts 2025 strong with the launch of Ripples Gold—the first time its Ripples collection appears in 4N rose gold. Known for blending traditional watchmaking with bold design, the independent brand adds a touch of luxury to its sporty-chic line, introduced in 2022. Until now, Ripples models were exclusively in stainless steel, but this latest release elevates the collection with a warmer, more refined look, perfectly timed for Watches and Wonders 2025.

The 40.3 mm “La City” case, designed by Stéphane Lacroix, features a polished and brushed rose gold finish with sharp architectural lines and 40 components in total. It maintains the slim 9.2 mm profile and iconic small seconds at 1:30. The gold alloy used—75% gold, 9% silver, 16% copper—not only offers a rich hue but is also biocompatible and ethically sourced, certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. Paired with a mocha calf leather strap and rose gold folding clasp, the Ripples Gold is both elegant and wearable.

Inside is the in-house SMA03-T calibre, assembled in Le Cercle des Horlogers. It includes a tungsten micro-rotor for efficient winding and a 52-hour power reserve. The movement is thin, precise (4 Hz), and finished to haute horlogerie standards, with Côtes de Genève, chamfered bridges, and diamond-polished edges throughout.

The dial retains the horizontal wave pattern that defines the Ripples series but introduces a new golden-brown tone through a zapon finish. Gold hands and hour markers contrast beautifully, while the signature small seconds subdial remains a standout feature—both visually and mechanically. The Ripples Gold is a natural evolution of the collection, combining everyday wearability with unmistakable luxury.
