What really sets this watch apart is its use of 904L steel—a first for Speake Marin. This material isn’t just more resistant to corrosion; it also has a beautiful shine that catches the light in a way that standard steel simply can’t match. While the diameter of the watch remains a comfortable 40.30 mm, the thickness has been reduced dramatically from 9.20 mm to just 6.30 mm. This slim profile is made possible by the new SMA07 calibre, an ultra-thin movement that’s only 3.25 mm thick.

The skeleton dial – also a first for the Ripples Collection – is where the magic happens. It offers a mesmerizing view of the watch’s inner workings, with light playing off the various components to create a dynamic visual experience.

The SMA07 calibre beats at an impressive 36,000 vibrations per hour, which means the seconds hand moves with a fluidity that’s rare in mechanical watches. This high-frequency movement also ensures that the watch keeps incredibly accurate time. With 182 components working in harmony, including a micro-rotor that provides a 52-hour power reserve, this is a movement that’s as reliable as it is beautiful.
