Limited edition of 250 pieces
The Zenith Chronomaster Revival Liberty II is a 37mm stainless steel chronograph that traces a direct line back to the A384, one of the most consequential references the Le Locle Manufacture produced in 1969. That original watch housed the El Primero caliber at its debut, the first automatic integrated high frequency chronograph movement ever made, and the Liberty II carries forward its most essential technical argument unchanged. The El Primero 400 caliber inside this watch operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour, enabling time measurement precise to one tenth of a second and delivering a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The tonneau shaped case reproduces the geometry of its source reference with a fidelity that collectors of vintage Zenith will recognize immediately.
The commemorative framing here earns its place because it connects to something real in the Manufacture’s history. Georges Favre-Jacot, who founded Zenith in 1865 at age 22, made a formative trip to the United States and encountered the country’s emerging industrial production model at a moment when Swiss watchmaking still operated under the fragmented établissage system. What he observed there shaped his decision to consolidate every stage of production under a single roof in Le Locle, establishing what became the first fully integrated Swiss watch Manufacture. The Liberty II exists within that specific lineage.
The dial is white lacquer with blue counters, the chronograph seconds hand carries 13 alternating red and white stripes referencing the original colonies, and the tachymeter scale runs in blue with the numeral 250 highlighted in red. The stainless steel edition is limited to 250 pieces. A forged carbon version, limited to 25 pieces, is also available. Both editions are exclusive to the United States market.
