Pablo Picasso, renowned for his avant-garde and emotionally charged art, remains one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. His exploration of “faces” and “genders” in his work has inspired artists worldwide, including Alexander Shorokhov.

Shorokhov’s latest creation, the “Picassini” tourbillon, pays homage to Picasso’s thematic exploration. The watch features a central motif depicting the connection between two faces: one representing femininity with soft curves, while the other embodies masculinity with dominant, angular features.

Handcrafted enamel and mother-of-pearl adorn several sectors of the dial, with hour markers delineating the boundaries for easy time reading. The central round part of the dial is encircled by a square ring, displaying minutes in a checkerboard pattern with the alphabet.

Powering the watch is a hand-wound tourbillon movement from Swiss manufacturer Concepto, offering a 60-hour power reserve. The intricately engraved bridges of the tourbillon are showcased through the glass case back.

Encased in a square stainless steel case accented with 18 kt. rose gold wires, the “Picassini” tourbillon is limited to just 5 pieces.
