Sartory BillardSB10 Jumping Hour 250th AnniversaryLoading price
Sartory-Billard has built its reputation on bespoke watchmaking, where every project begins with color samples and Pantone references exchanged between client and atelier. The SB04-E Nuances brings that philosophy into a permanent collection for the first time. Launched in July 2026 with three versions in blue, red, and green, Nuances is conceived as a daily watch, versatile enough for constant wear while retaining the attention to detail that defines the brand’s bespoke work. Each version is offered with either a matching rubber strap in the same shade or a stainless steel bracelet.
The dial is where the thinking becomes visible. The surface is slightly concave, with a sunray-brushed finish radiating from the center and a fumé treatment that darkens toward the outer edge, so the color shifts continuously as light moves across it. The numerals are applied directly to the dial rather than mounted on a sapphire disc, giving the architecture genuine depth. The typography, with its elongated Art Deco proportions and Y-shaped markers, was designed for Sartory-Billard by Simon Schmidt, who also drew the numerals for the SB10. Polished concave hands, shaped after a fountain pen nib and filled with Super-LumiNova, complete the composition.
Each color is treated as a study of a single hue. The green moves from deep forest tones to emerald highlights, the blue from steel blue to rich navy, and the red from vivid crimson to burgundy, in the manner of a swirled glass of French red wine. More shades are planned to follow.
