Is it enough? Candy and flowers are nice gestures, but if you are looking to make a splash, giving the gift of time is even better. Especially when it’s in the form of a wristwatch that you spent time and effort looking for. Breguet Reine de Naples 8905
Swiss watch brand Breguet is all about the concept of love and regularly releases specially designed watches for Valentine’s Day. This Reine de Naples 8905 watch – named for Caroline Murat, the Queen of Naples (for whom Breguet created the first wristwatch) – is crafted in 18-karat gold in a stunning oval shape. The bezel is meticulously set with 128 diamonds weighing just under half a carat. The crown, at 4:00 on the case, is set with a ruby cabochon weighing 0.32 carats. The mother-of-pearl background encircles an upper moon-phase and power reserve indicator and a time-indication dial on the lower portion. Set within the hour/minute dial is a subsidiary seconds dial in the shape of a stylized heart. The watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement with a high-tech silicon balance spring, lever, and escape wheel. Just 28 pieces will be made.

Chopard Happy Sport Happy Heart
Not just for Valentine’s Day, but for any day, Chopard offers a deft combination of whimsy and love with its Happy Sport Happy Hearts watch. The Happy Sport watches offer free-floating diamonds between the dial and the crystal, often in whimsical shapes. The Happy Hearts boasts two hearts – one red and one diamond set – amongst a few round brilliant floaters stones. The 36mm watch is crafted in stainless steel and is powered by a quartz movement.

A stunning vision of elegance, this Glashütte Original Lady Serenade watch is a specially created piece for Valentine’s Day 2022. The 36mm stainless steel case encircles a mother-of-pearl dial set with eight heart-shaped pink sapphire crystals interspersed with Roman numerals. The German-made watch boasts hours, minutes, and date at 6:00. The bezel sparkles with 52 diamonds offset by one more diamond – in cabochon cut – on the crown. The newest Harry Winston Premier Valentine’s Flying Hearts Automatic 36mm watch is a stunning celebration of love thanks to the dial set with what appears to be a bouquet of heart-shaped balloons. The balloons are crafted in either red, pink, or white cabochons and seven balloons boast diamond backgrounds and three are further set with rubies and another two are set with pink sapphires. The final two are fully diamond-set. The balloons are tied together with twisted white-gold threads and tethered at the base (at 6:00) with two heart-shaped rubies. At 12:00 a specially cut emerald diamond marks the hour. The 18-karat 36mm white gold case and lugs are set with another 57 diamond brilliants. In total, more than 150 diamonds and gemstones weighing almost three carats adorn this watch, which is powered by a mechanical movement with 72 hours of power reserve. Just 14 pieces will be made.
