Gérald Genta was a Swiss watchmaker and artist known for his eponymous lines of timepieces, such as Gerald Genta and Gerald Charles. He was also the designer behind iconic watches like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus. In 1969, he founded his first line and later created the Grande Sonnerie Retro, one of the most complicated watches in the world at the time. The brand is currently owned by LVMH, la Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, and continues to produce timepieces, staying true to Genta’s design codes and legacy.
