At Watches & Wonders 2023, Speake Marin unveiled the ONE & TWO ACADEMIC White and ACADEMIC Black Tie timepieces, diving deeper into the exploration of color and its influences. This year, the focus has been captivated by the bold and enchanting world of red, the color echoing with vibrations of passion, courage, and an undeniable emotional appeal. In a fusion of passion and elegance, the brand represents the French “l’art de vivre”, globally recognized and revered. The journey with the ACADEMIC line evolves, captivating interests through the myriad shades of red, ultimately selecting Pantone 188C, described as a medium dark shade of pink-red reminiscent of a ruby or the elegance of deep red wine. This color choice illuminates the dial of the ACADEMIC Rouge with sophisticated vibrancy, complemented by Billight red matt Super-LumiNova coated Roman numeral hour markers and contrasting rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, creating a noticeable and charismatic timepiece.

Enhancing the ACADEMIC ROUGE’s captivating appeal is its construction, with the new generation round tubular Piccadilly case, meticulously crafted from Grade 5 titanium and paired with a grey leather strap. The exquisite craftsmanship continues with the incorporation of the in-house Calibre SMA03 automatic movement, which includes a fully integrated micro-rotor offering a 52-hour power reserve.
