The Hublot Big Bang Click Calavera Catrina is a special collection of three limited edition timepieces that were presented during the SIAR watch fair in Mexico and remind us to live life to the full.
These eye-catching timepieces are inspired by the popular holiday El Día de los Muertos, The Day of the Dead, a celebration which has been recognized by UNESCO’s as part of the world’s cultural heritage. The timepieces come with a pop art face in fuchsia, purple, green, turquoise and blue and are made by first lacquering the dial in black or white and then by engraving it with colored lacquer. The design of the skulls is reminiscent of the traditional face-painting that people wear during the celebrations.
Enhancing the colorful nature of these timepieces, Hublot has added a rainbow of 42 colored sapphires around the bezel and there is also a choice of different interchangeable straps that are adorned with embroidered skulls.
The timepieces are powered by Hublot’s HUB171 automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve and come in a choice of steel with a white lacquered dial and matching white strap (limited to 100 pieces), in black ceramic with a matching lacquer dial and strap (limited to 100 pieces), and in Hublot’s King Gold, also with a black lacquer dial and matching strap (limited to 50 pieces).
