Only Watch 2024 Results: Complete List of 47 Unique Timepieces
Only Watch, the biennial charity auction dedicated to funding research on muscular dystrophy, took place in Geneva on May 10th, 2024, raising a staggering CHF 28,320,000.
The 10th edition of the auction, originally scheduled to take place on November 5, 2023, at the Palexpo Congress Center in Geneva under Christie’s hammer, was postponed. This decision was made after recent developments, including calls for greater financial transparency from the public and the withdrawal of Audemars Piguet from the auction.
In a statement, the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (AMM), the organizer of Only Watch, cited the need for “certification, changes in governance and the imminent auction” as the reasons for the postponement, as the timeline did not align. The association promised to have its financial statements audited by a certified auditor starting with the 2023 statements and to share the results of that audit in the first quarter of 2024, which they have done.
While the 2023 edition was set to feature 62 unique watches from 72 watchmakers and brands, 15 brands have pulled out, leaving 47 timepieces that will participate in the rescheduled 2024 auction.
The Only Watch event has become one of the most anticipated and significant auctions in the watch calendar, raising nearly €100 million for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy over the past 18 years.
