The Audemars Piguet [RE]Master02 Selfwinding watch pays homage to a unique asymmetrical model from 1960 (Model 5159BA). This new limited edition of 250 pieces features a 41 mm rectangular case made from a new 18-carat sand gold alloy, whose color varies between white and pink gold. The [RE]Master02 continues the legacy of the [RE]Master01, which reinterpreted a 1943 chronograph.
The watch is distinguished by its “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” dial, composed of twelve differently sized and shaped triangles with a linear satin finish, creating dynamic light effects. The asymmetrical case with a sapphire crystal with a 15.8° bevel, presents a striking visual impact with its angular geometric shapes and a brushed satin finish, contrasting with the polished contours of the dial.
The Calibre 7129 movement powers the [RE]Master02, offering an extra-thin design that enhances energy efficiency and precision. This movement, only 2.8mm thick, features refined decorations such as Côtes de Genève and circular satin, visible through the sapphire case back. The 22-carat gold oscillating weight matches the sand gold case.
To complement its sophisticated case, the [RE]Master02 is paired with a blue alligator leather strap with a matt finish. The dial omits hour markers and the date indication to emphasize its geometric design, and the hour and minute hands, along with the “Audemars Piguet” signature, are crafted in 18-carat sand gold.
