Audemars Piguet has introduced a new iteration of its Royal Oak Frosted Gold Selfwinding watch, featuring a 37mm case made entirely of 18-carat yellow gold. The case and bracelet have a hammered finish, dubbed Frosted Gold, inspired by traditional jewelry techniques and reimagined by designer Carolina Bucci. This finish, along with polished chamfers and satin-finished surfaces, creates a captivating interplay of light.
The smoked gold dial adds depth, achieved through a galvanic bath and a hand-applied smoked effect, contrasting beautifully with the yellow gold. Luminescent hour-markers and hands enhance legibility, complementing the elegant design.
The watch is powered by the selfwinding Calibre 5900, boasting a slim profile, high frequency, and a 60-hour power reserve. Its intricate movement is visible through the sapphire case back, showcasing refined decorations and a 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight.
