Limited edition of 12 pieces
Louis Moinet unveils two new limited editions in its pioneering Derrick series in October, 2019.
Louis Moinet’s Derrick timepieces combine an animated derrick with a tourbillon. The derrick – composed of the main shaft, a horse head, a drive shaft, and a counterweight – repeats its cycle three times a minute. The components of the derrick are made out of a super-light brushed aluminum, which requires less energy to move.
The Derrick’s case is the brand’s legendary NEO case that is crafted in rose gold and features two horizontal bridges that span the piece and secure the strap at each end of the lugs. Each edition is limited to 12 pieces.
The two versions differ in their dials. The first features a hand-punched surface with a shiny sheen, while the second has a woven carbon fiber finish.
The timepieces are powered by the Calibre LM61, an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve and this unique derrick automaton.
